To Celebrate the recent launch of The Daily Satire’s new celebrity meme generator I decided to take a look back over the last couple of years to pick out my own personal top ten list of the funniest celebrity memes. For each meme I’ve included one or two of the best funny images, along with short description.

1 – Celebrity Faceswaps

I have no idea where this started – I’ve seen these things in a few different places and they are very funny. The idea is simple – take a picture with two or more celebrities in it and then swap their faces around – not so easy to make yourself, unless your a photoshop expert, but I included it anyway mainly because the Barack and Michelle Obama picture is one of the funniest Obama pics I’ve ever seen.

2 – Consipracy Keanu

Conspiracy Keanu is one of the longest running and most popular celebrity memes ever. It started back in 2010 as a ‘reaction face‘ posted in forums, and is now a mainstay of meme sites across the net. The picture is of Keanu Reeves from the 1989 movie ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure’.

3 – Gangster Queen

OK, so maybe it is a bit cheeky, but here is my favourite meme so far from our own site.

4 – Strutting Leo

This one is based on a great picture of Leonardo DiCaprio from the set of the film Inception.

5 – Kim Kardashian

This woman has inspired so many funny pictures that I just had to include a couple of the best even though there is no single meme image that went viral.

Sean Connery has been the subject of a couple of memes, most notably ‘Sean Connery FTW’, but this is my favourite meme image of the famous Scottish actor:

8 – Bear Grylls Meme

Here is one for the British – television survival specialist Bear Grylls has been the subject of a popular meme, in which most of the images end with him drinking his own piss (as he seems to do unnecessarily often in his tv series). Here is a twist on that theme which I found funny.

9 – Harry Potter

There are far too many Harry Potter meme for me to list them all, but here is one of the best images:
